Sail Loft

I ordered my sails in early  December and got this picture of the finishing touches being applied from the loft.   I ordered sails from Doyle Sails in San Francisco.  Bill Colombo, is putting the finishing touches on the  mainsail.

Forward Locker

This week I worked on a number of detail items, starting with the Locker Hatch Door and slides.

Laying out door tracks and screw hole alignment

Mounting locker door slide rails

Slide rails will be left bright, and the door hatch will be painted.

Buoyancy Tanks

I have been spending several weeks working on the internal hull finish.   Several more weeks to go I believe until I am satisfied with the internal hull finish.    All the buoyancy tanks have been filled with Expanded polystyrene sheets cut to shape and fitted.     As the designer states in the plans,  “not expensive, but disaggregates easily”.    Have a vac close at hand and use regularly while cutting your sheets.
