Congratulations on two lovely projects, the boat and the blog. They are both excellent and very encouraging, helpful and clear for someone who might be considering such a boatbuilding scheme.
How did you decide on the Ebihen rather than Ilur or Beg Meil which are very similar in design? Also do you recommend the purchase of the “full size patterns” as well as the “Building plan”?
I hope you have many years of happy sailing.
Regards
Michael

I liked the Ilur, Beg Meil, and Ebihen plans but picked the Ebihen plans as best suiting my personal requirements. I was looking for a boat with an internal bracket for the outboard motor and liked the hull depth and shape for a dry and comfortable sail. I believe at the time I ordered my plans I could only order with the full sized patterns. This is the way to go unless you are purchasing a precut kit.
